It’s Not You, It’s Me – More Product Fails

I thought that I would only have enough product fails to do a new post each quarter. I may have to rethink that as the products just keep piling up. I try a lot of products regularly. I get a lot of them from the various beauty boxes and bags I subscribe to. Most of these products are perfectly fine. They just did not work for me. They may be the wrong shade, wrong for my skin type, or I simply didn’t like them. Read on to see which products just were not right for me.

RoC Multi Correxion 5-in-1 Chest, Neck & Face Cream with SPF 30 – Younger-looking skin isn’t just for the face. This perfect addition to your facial care routine is specially formulated to moisturize the chest and neck area. With exclusive HEXINOL® Technology and Vitamin E, you’ll notice visibly smoother skin in just 4 weeks. This is one of those products that is a great product but I cannot use it because I use tretinoin. You can read about my experiences with tretinoin here. I will pass this on to my mother. I used RoC products before starting tretinoin and was pleased with my results.

Schwarzkopf Ultime Diamond Color Shampoo – Provides dazzling color luminosity & protection. Deeply nourishes inner hair fibers for improved strength. Seals in hair color for anti-fading – up to 30 manual washes. Formulated with diamond gloss serum for intense shine. Improves combing by 3 times. Reduces hair breakage and split ends Up to 85%.  A special UV filter provides protection from the sun allowing color treated hair to hold its luster longer.  The shampoo is just ok. I don’t see anything special about it.

Schwarzkopf Ultime Diamond Color Conditioner – Especially developed for colored, highlighted hair. I absolutely hated this conditioner. It did not do anything for my hair. The worst part is that it did not detangle my hair at all. I just don’t like this brand.

Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain in Stockholm Chic – A new level of glossy wet colour. Saturated lips with brilliant shine and vivid colour. Available in 12 luscious shades. This was just awful. It was sticky and patchy. It wore off in the middle and left dark rings on the outside of my lips. I wanted to like it because it was a beautiful shade. But the formula is just so very disappointing.

Revlon Ultimate All-in-One Mascara –  Our innovative, high-impact formula delivers 5 lash-transforming benefits, while our Revlon Power Mini Brush™ leaves no lash behind. Choosing the one has never been so simple. High impact formula delivers the ultimate 5 benefits in 1:
– Volume
– Length
– Definition
– Lift
– Intense Color
• Revlon Power Mini Brush™:
– Unique mini oval shape designed to reach every lash
– Hollow core designed to deposit formula for mega lash impact

This mascara was awful. It was way too wet for way too long. It also clumped on my eyelashes. It was impossible to separate my lashes using this formula and this brush. I didn’t like anything about it.

Ofra Banana Highlighting Powder – Our innovative new banana powder color corrects, highlights and softens any makeup look while also suiting a variety of skin tones. This versatile powder contains a light banana scent. Our pressed form comes in a compact and godet and can be applied as a full coverage finishing powder as well as provide specific functions such as setting concealer underneath eyes and highlighting precise facial areas: underneath eyes, the brow bone, the bridge of the nose, the middle of the forehead and the chin. This came in some subscription box or bag. It is a good product and I use it most mornings to set my undereye concealer. I am only giving it away because I already have one. I have been using it awhile and it looks barely used. It will last for some time so I don’t need this one.

So, that is the current crop of products that didn’t work out for me. Have you tried any of these? Did they work for you? What products are you not loving?
