5 Faves November 2016

November started out warmer than usual. We had days that were in the 70’s and 80’s with nights in the 40’s. It stayed fairly humid for a lot of the month too. Even with that, the air was getting dryer and colder and my skin saw some changes. My skin was feeling a little dryer and tighter.  Most of my faves this month are about the changing weather and its effects on my skin. And of course, I had a couple of makeup favorites.

Korres Wild Rose Advanced Brightening Sleeping Facial – A brightening night cream infused with wild rose oil that evens out skin tone, repairs fine lines, moisturizes, heals, and softens skin. This face cream with vitamin C also helps minimize the appearance of skin discolorations and black spots. More than a mask, more than a night cream, this overnight facial-in-a-jar delivers brighter skin by morning. I received this is a Sephora Play bag several months back. This would have been a little heavy for my skin in the summer as I lean combo/oily but is perfect for my more normal fall/winter skin. My skin does seem softer since I have been using this. What I absolutely love about it is the scent. It smells amazing and is so relaxing at bedtime.I apply it over my serum and moisturizer.  I may have to shell out the $48 to purchase this.

Cover Girl The Supersizer by Lashblast Mascara in Black – The Super Sizer by LashBlast Mascara gives you 400% more corner-to-corner volume for full, fanned out lashes. Our amazing Lash Styler transforms even small lashes— just twirl as you apply it to your lashes for an instantly Super Sized lash look. Opthalmologically tested, suitable for those who wear contact lenses.  This mascara does it all. It lengthens and thickens with absolutely no smudging or flaking. It is the perfect consistency – not too wet and not too dry. I get thick, long lashes that last all day. You can’t ask for more in a mascara. Except that it be around $6 a tube. It outperforms many high-end products.

Iby Beauty Threes Company Trio Eye Shadow – These three “must have shades” are perfect for fast and easy eye shadow contouring. Use the trio to brighten and define your eyes and make them appear dramatically bigger. This is another keeper from October’s Boxycharm ! I love it so much that it was one of my Best of the Boxes October 2016. These shades make a beautiful fall eye. The gold is just stunning. The shades are buttery and blendable. They last all day without a primer. This is the perfect palette for a simple, basic look. The neutral shades are wonderful with fall makeup and lips. I have reached for it often this month.

Bath and Body Works Signature Collection Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin Lotion – A fall favorite blend of heirloom pumpkin, autumn cinnamon & ginger snap. This is one of my favorite fall scents. It is sweet and spicy. It is not overpowering and it leaves a subtle scent that lasts and lasts. It is the perfect scent for this time of the year.

Naobay Oxygenating Cream Moisturizer –  Unique composition rich in organic nutrients, with intensive hydrating action that deeply nourishes the skin, while improving elasticity and providing intense moisture throughout the day. Extra rich cream is brimming with essential fatty acids found in oils from organic farming such as Avocado and Olive oils, which also give the cream anti-aging benefits. Specially designed for dry and dehydrated skin that needs extra attention. I received this in a Birchbox a while back. It had been sitting in my bathroom for a while now and I decided to use it up. It has been a great little moisturizer. It is not heavy at all and absorbs like magic on my skin. It does not look or feel greasy or heavy. It is part of my A.M. Skincare Routine – FallA.M. Skincare Routine – Fall

These are the products I was really loving this month. They kept my skin soft and smelling good. I was able to create fall eye looks and the mascara is one of the best mascaras out there and is a Holy Grail product for me.

What have you been loving this month? Are you turning toward creamier, extra hydrating products? Have you changed your makeup now that it is fall?
